Klamath River Fishing

If you’re looking for a fishing location that offers beautiful scenery, you’ll want to visit Klamath River. Though this river offers 40 miles of fishing waters, most people stick to the six-mile portion between J.C. Boyle Reservoir and the Keno Dam. This is where you’ll find excellent trout fishing from fall through spring. The rest of the river has great year-round fishing, especially in the portion between the Boyle Power House and the Reservoir. The water here can be difficult to wade in, but those brave enough to try can be rewarded with a 20-inch-long trout. Note that this section is closed from mid-June through early October. Another great spot to try is the area below the Power House, where you can catch large fish in the late evenings and early mornings.
